Youth Night

Leader: Charity Moore

Youth Night

Youth night is every other Friday from 6-8 pm.  We start our time together with about 20 minutes of worship. Worship time consists of some choruses or kids worship songs as well as songs we use for regular Sunday worship services.

Younger Class

For children 1 through 9 years old, we are walking through an alphabetical bible memory book. Each lesson talks about a life lesson and then there is a scripture that we work on memorizing from each lesson. We have found that singing the verses is very helpful in memorization; therefore, we have recorded each memory verse and made them available here.

For example, our first lesson was about anger. Our memory verse was Psalm 37:8. "Refrain from anger and forsake wrath. Fret not yourself, it tends only to evil."

The goal is to give even these little ones "tools for their toolboxes" to help them deal with difficult situations and the sin that is ever present in all our lives.

After the lesson, we usually have a craft/activity/song that goes along with our lesson.

Older Class

Children 10 through 18 are using a Bible drill curriculum called "Sword Grip". Each lesson focuses on a book of the Bible. The lesson is an overview or summary of the book. Then there are 3 key verses to memorize from a key passage. Depending on the student's ability, they will memorize 1, 2, or all 3 verses each week.

After about an hour of class time, we have a snack time to allow the kids their own fellowship time.
